Stage 24 – the day I almost got homeless.

24 Km were not exceptional, still… the fatigue was real.

I was tired. Mind, more than body.

No pain – just a general, persistent feeling of being tired.

Funnily enough, I was still pushing myself.

24 Km in 6 hours meant I went faster than my average, taking breaks into account.

Well… Vina Femita’s hospitalero disagreed with my strategy. I wanted to rush to bed and collapse, he almost cancelled my reservation.

He felt bad about it later on, as he regularly – and frequently – came to me calling me “hermano” and finding reasons to hug me.

What can I say.

We were all tired.

Villafranca is a lovely town, Don Nacho got my heart – literally.
